Who is eligible to join Southwest Louisiana Credit Union?

You can join if you live, work, or worship in Calcasieu, Cameron, or Beauregard Parish or are a family member of an existing member.

What do I need to open a membership?

To become a member, a $25 deposit is required to open a share savings account, along with two forms of identification.

Can I apply for membership online?

You must live or work in certain Parishes to apply online; otherwise, apply in person.

What is the process for a company to offer credit union membership as a benefit?

Your company can send a request letter on company letterhead to the CEO of SWLACU to offer membership to employees.

What kind of items can I pawn?

You can pawn a variety of items including electronics, jewelry, firearms, and gold.

What is the layaway plan?

Our layaway plan requires a 10% down payment, with monthly payments of 10% for 10 months at no interest.

What is the protection plan?

Our protection plan allows customers to pay 10% over the product's cost to protect their investment and receive a refund or replacement if the item fails.
